TJ WRESTLING CAMP
There will be a 3 day wrestling camp
at the high school Wrestling Room Headed by
Coach Zacur of the youth program. He has
provided the information below:
The dates for the camp are the 4th, 5th
and 6th of august. We are bringing in
two former NCAA all Americans.
Greg Kessler is the head technician for the
camp. Greg has ten years experience as the
head coach at a private high school in
Maryland along with his many years of
competition.
Greg will be assisted by Leo Geil. Leo is a
TJ graduate who earned all American honors
twice at The division 1 level wrestling for
Rider University. Leo's leadership at Rider
earned their team a top 5 national ranking.
Leo was ranked 2nd in the nation at one
point and won numerous college tournaments.
The camp is designed for all levels of
competition. We encourage all Varsity, Jr
Varsity and Elementary/Youth wrestlers to
attend. The cost of the camp is $50 per
wrestler, we will have registration at the
door. Please be there no later than 8 am to
register your child. Payment can be made by
personal check or cash and we will also need
your child's current medical insurance
information for the waiver as well as any
medical conditions we need to be aware of.

at 12:00 all 3 days. Get your

LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE.

Day
Friday December 18th is picture
day. As always, we will have the “photo
shoot” in the wrestling room. The Cavemen
will be scheduled for individual pictures
starting at 5:45 – 6pm. The older boys will
be scheduled to arrive around 6:30-6:45 for
a group photo with all of the kids and
coaches
Bethel Park Scrimmage
Bethel Park, for those who are
interested. Coach Dave told me the Cavemen
are taking the day off. For anyone else,
however, please feel free to stop by at the
Bethel Park high school on 12/6. First year
wrestlers should be there around 12:50 to
get warmed up. We’ll have a brief practice
with the BP kids and do some live wrestling.
More experienced kids should arrive at the
school around 1:45. Just wear practice
clothes. It will be a low stress
practice/scrimmage.

Thanks to all of you for being patient with
us as we tried to get this event planned and
coordinated. Thanks to all of you for your
generous donations and time. And thanks to
all of you for being there last night and
today during crunch time! You are all truly
dedicated to your children – and it showed.
Congratulations to each and every boy and
girl who wrestled today. Win or lose, they
did something very special today. Celebrate
with them – they did AWESOME!! For the first
time parents, I hope today gave you a
glimpse into what makes this sport so
special. And we’re just getting started!!!
December
5th TJ Wrestling Match
Check-in for the 8 and under wrestlers
starts at 8:00am and ends at 8:30am. Skin
check will take place between 8:30am and
9:00am. Wrestling starts around 9:00am and
should be over by 11:30am. We will announce
over a loud speaker the names of wrestlers,
who will then be taken to a staging area to
be paired off with another wrestler, and
then they will be sent to one of four mats
for their match. Everyone is typically
guaranteed to have two matches. After the
second match, you are done for the day
(unless of course Jaylynn and Tracy have you
assigned to some duty).
Check-in for the 9 and older wrestlers
starts at 11:30am and ends at noon. Skin
check will take place between noon and
12:30pm. Wrestling starts around 12:30pm and
should be over by 3:00pm.
